Neanderfall

Neanderfall is a board cross platform game where you are trying to reach the goal by going through a number of checkpoints. You make your moves by playing cards. The game is set during the Stone Age, where each player is controlling their own caveman. The players must, with a mix of luck and skill, try to reach the goal before the other players, whether it’s in a fair way or not.

Players must plan in which order they should place their cards strategically, and take in consideration the other players’ positions and directions, potential weather influences, and the different tiles on the gameboard in order to achieve victory.

My Contribution

My primarily contributions to Neanderfall was the Renderer, Animations and various Gameplay systems.

Renderer

I have had a big role in the implementation of our rendering engine. Above all, how the structure of models and textures should look like and also how they should be loaded. I have done implementations of Graphical User Interface (GUI) in the form of picking, view space, and interface rendering, and the structure of the menus. I have also implemented Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) and Glowmaps using compute shader.
